INSIGHTS FROM CEO

As we approach the new year, we reflect on all the previous year’s lessons and successes. 2020 has been challenging in more ways than one; however, there have been some major obstacles that we’ve been able to overcome. With COVID-19 completely changing the world, as a business, we learned to pivot and adapt quickly, allowing us to continue supporting our inspiring public safety professionals’ psychological and medical needs.

In 2020, we have watched you, our first responders, tackle an international health crisis in your communities with a level of resilience and passion. You’ve continued to serve, protect, and provide care while also helping to control a vast spreading virus in your cities and counties. All while the world has placed you under a microscope. The events that have taken place during the year and over decades are unacceptable and beyond tragic. These reoccurring actions are now influencing long-lasting and positive changes in homes, businesses, and communities. Departments have made critical changes to their policies and procedures. FMRT is honored to be part of these conversations, specifically about psychological and medical standards and the importance of clinical evaluations before hiring. We hope these many changes will occur across the country to protect all people, including the departments and individuals that make up our safety-sensitive professions.

As we enter 2021, let’s continue listening, sharing, and progressing towards a better world. The challenges of 2020 were heavy, but we are resilient, and we will continue to apply what we’ve learned and persevere.

Here’s to 2021!
