The Importance of Wellness Appointments
INSIGHTS FROM OUR CEO
As we embark on the New Year, now is the time to be proactive and schedule annual wellness appointments for your staff. We understand the stressors public safety professionals face daily and know that it’s part of the job description to react to problems. Please don’t let this be the case for yourself and your personnel regarding psychological well-being. We recommend implementing annual wellness visits for your employees before a mental health crisis occurs and providing them with the tools to manage the profession’s unique demands.
FMRT has culturally competent psychologists who understand the triggers and stressors of public safety and want to help you, the protectors. Wellness appointments are confidential opportunities to explore work challenges, adaptation, and coping skills. These appointments are considered psycho-educational, not therapy, and attendees will receive material for reference and access to FMRT for possible further needs. The only information the employer receives is whether or not the employee attended.
We understand many of you are creating peer support teams, apps to access mental health resources, and other programs to enhance your departments’ overall health. Please consider adding our information and reaching out to discuss ways we can support these great endeavors.
Contact FMRT today by calling 336-761-0764, and one of our scheduling team members will assist you. We want to help make your New Year in 2023 the best it can be for you and your agency.

FMRT Online – Updates on Report Exporting
In our second decade of business, FMRT developed FMRT Online, a multifaceted platform designed to schedule appointments, complete reports, upload forms, and track valuable demographic information. FMRT Online is also where employers can track applicant/employee progression and view completed reports. Click here to read the full FMRT Online guide.
This evolving platform creates better efficiencies for clients and staff with much expansion potential. The most recent update for our clients allows reports to be exported from the applicant/employee landing page! Instead of clicking on the desired name, the report can be exported from the list generated per agency.
We will continue to share the progression of our platform and welcome you to contact Holly Lloyd, holly@fmrt.org, Director of Operations, with any questions and feedback.
